Thank You, MTA Employee on the F Train Last Night
On the train at 1:30 in the morning, you are rerouted. You are annoyed, but not as annoyed as the conductor who says:
“This train will be making all stops to Euclid Avenue after Jay Street/Borough Hall. The next stop is Hoyt/Schermerhorn. The people who made this decision do not take public transportation. I repeat, the people who decided to reroute this train do not take public transportation.”
After three such announcements you are laughing out loud and mind a little less that your trip will take an extra 20 minutes, at least.

it's heartening to know that the MTA - or at least one of its employees - shares your pain. Boston's "T", on the other hand, exults in our suffering.
